It's that time again! The Fall CD/Record Show 2025. I had a ton of good luck! That guy who I bought from last time and got a lot of New Beat albums, well he was back again and blowing out the last of his collection. It was mostly 12"ers, which are the stuff I like the best!

They were $1 each, but I saw so much that I wanted that I asked how much to buy him out. It ended up being $160 for 8 boxes, which is $20 a box! A steal as each box holds about 75ish records!

Of course there was a lot of rubbish, especially in the 4 boxes of house, but the other half half was new wave and similar. I passed over another 8 boxes of LPs of normal full length LPs as honestly I don't realistically have the room for what I did buy and the majority of it I didn't recognize. I really should have bought those too but I've loaded up so much this summer that I don't have the room.

Anyway, I checked and common house stuff is about $1 each in bulk, so that's where 4 boxes will go after I check over a few names. I sorta like house and related but probably some sub category of it which most of this probably isn't. And honestly I'm happy enough with MP3s and keeping my top favs that has picture sleeves.

From the other 4 boxes, the new wave stuff, I think I pulled out about 50 or so records. I'll probably keep most of that. I then need to go though just about every other record (over 200?) as there were a lot of names I don't know or never tried out before. It'll be fun as the guy had pretty good taste and I think I'll discover a lot of new names here!

Aside from that, I didn't spend too much. I'll go though what I can recall...

ree

$10 for a Alan Parson's Project I Robot remaster with bonus CD. ~ It's my favorite APP album. I seem to recall the original wasn't mastered and is hissy. So I hope this will sound better! I don't typically pay over $5 for anything unless I'm REALLY into that album.

ree

$2 for All About Eve ~ A bargain really, but I cannot recall if I have it. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I think I don't have it. Typical 80s rock with a female lead, but good!

ree

$5 ELVIS COSTELLO My Aim Is True Deluxe Edition ~ I do love Elvis Costello and this is an upgrade but it's not one of my favorite LPs by him. I really couldn't pass it over for $5 though. It's still WAY better than his mid 80s stuff though.

ree

$1 Various Artists ~ A.B. - Sounds – New Beat - Take 1 ~ I believe this series is what got me into New Beat, which is basically a harder/darker version of New Wave or Italio Disco. Sometimes it's called Acid. I'm always happy to find another one from this series!

But yeah, those are the ones I'm super stoked about which wasn't part of that $160. I did get other stuff on the cheap. Like $5 for most of these below...

The guy with the $160 albums was just blowing everything out and I got all these for $5. I honestly don't know 90% of them but they looked electro, so I took them. And 5% of them I wasn't sure if I already had like IS's Hack, the Smiths and that Robyn Hitchcock. I did try VHS or Beta and it's a early 2000s Synthpop album. Very good!

That reminds me, to bring up a few of my amazing buys this past summer!

At one sale a guy had maybe a thousand CDs? It was from a DJ who had passed away and he's a reseller but they were stuff that would never sell locally. About 50% electronic, 25% college rock and 25% trash. So I asked to buy it all and I got it for I think $250 or so? I forgot what. Anyway, I got about $900 for the "common" under $10 electronic cds by selling them in a huge lot. That was about 400ish or so CDs there. I've been selling right along the stuff that was over $10. No clue how much I got, maybe $500+? And I have half the collection left over to resell and two more small boxes of good pricy CDs to list. That was a good buy!

Another huge CD buy was the left overs from the library sale. About $50 for a few hundred CDs. Most if easy listening crap, but I'm sure to make at least $300, or about $1 a cd in bulk. I already sold off the audiobooks from the collection for $100.

And the last interesting buy was a huge record collection of soundtracks and new age stuff like Tangerine Dream for $100 from the local thrift store. I was the first one to get to them and they were already out when I saw them. I got lucky as stuff like this doesn't last long. So I took the entire huge crate and extra cardboard box and got a deal on them. I ended up donating back about 50 or so crap LPs which ended up costing me $100 for about 100 LPs but it was worth it to be able to take them all home and sort them at my leisure. I've sold about half of that collection so far and maybe got $1500 for them? I have some which are VERY pricy which I'm sure will sell when I'll lower the prices.

Another interesting buy was about, I dunno, 15-20 Korean CDs. Oddly they were mostly worth $35 each and they got snapped up fast, so I probably underpriced them. LOL! One of them ended up being a covers CD which I'm going to keep as it has a cool Kraftwerk the Robot one on it.

Aside from those, it's been my typical CD and LP buying and reselling. I cannot recall any amazing new music discoveries. I've been mostly making MLP Equestria Girls AI songs to satisfy my tastes, as it'll create new old skool music for me in topics that actually care about.

Anyway, I'll post some other finds that I'm really excited over. this is maybe like 5% of everything I got today and maybe about half of the ones I am thinking of keeping:

I love Book of Love. Very happy to get this, I don't think I have the CD version of this or the mixes anywhere else. It's a shame that this was one of the lessor quality 12"ers in the collection as it's one of my top wanted ones.

ree

$2 ~ I may have this. OMD is another top fav! I bought it because it's still in wrap. I think my copy was in like new shape too.

ree

$2 ~ I think I have this. I'll probably resell it, but Erasure is a big fav of mine.

ree

$2 ~ I'm pretty sure I don't have this one though.

ree

$2 ~ Pretty sure I have this one. A lot of the records which I do have doubles of, I think are in bad condition. I think this Erasure one I have but with radio station call letters written over it.

ree

$2 ~ Not sure If I have this... See image below

ree

Why is the name of it on the back and not the front? Very strange! But it's the only Alphaville song that I like. The others are meh, but then again, I've never gave them a proper listen either!

ree

ree

$2 ~ LOL! Yeah, I know, I should have Stray Cats - Build for Speed but I don't. Why? It's because every time I've seen it, it's in trashed condition. It's the first time I've found a decent copy cheap! Stray Cats (Stray Cat Strut) was one of the first 5 or so 45s which I bought as a kid. So I've wanted this LP for about 40 years? LOL! 🤣

My buddy wanted a "Slug" CD (local band) from me and I held onto it for a year and a half as it took that long to see him again. LOL! I wanted to just give it to him, as I was in an amazing mood for getting all those LPs cheap, but he said I could have a $5 credit. LOL I honestly couldn't find anything I wanted and I wasn't in the mood to look though boxes and mystery priced LPs. I don't really like to go though boxes without prices on it. So I took the Deodatos as it's basically the first stuff I saw that I was halfway into and I really wanted to go look at the other dealers and get more bargains. His stuff ranges from Jazz to Jazz Fusion to Disco. No clue which ones these are as I've never seen them before.

ree

This is the box of what I'm probably going to keep. Lots of goodies!

The 8 boxes! I put them into the garage and I'll probably take 1 box in a week and work on it. It'll take a long time as I do plan to test the ones I don't know....

ree

I love Heaven 17, but oddly I've never seen this LP before. Heaven 17 though I think is the master of dance remix 12"ers as they have soooooooo many of them. I think most of them can be had on the remastered expanded super deluxe version CDs, but I like to collect them for the art as well.

ree

$1 ~ I bought this at another seller's booth! LOL! it's LOL Creme and Kevin Godley. The back of this album was being cute (deceptive) trying to hype up whatever it could from what's basically an unsellable 3 LP set full of inaccessible stuff. I would love to own the real thing but it's amazingly rare. It's actually easier to find this than the real thing! I've actually heard the entire thing on Youtube a few years ago and I like parts of it, but it goes on for WAY too long and someone should have told them to no do this. It's like a sound effects album mixed with a Monty Python comedy LP. Part 10cc, part Firesign Theatre...it's just really weird and so self indulgent. It's a train wreck that's makes me smile to think that they were actually serious about this.

ree

I'm pretty sure I have this one, but I think mine may be in worse shape.

ree

Another song from a band that I adore. A LOT!!! Industry was REALLY good but they came and went so fast that their LP and mostly their EP was a well known "unknown" album among fans. They could have been really big.

ree

A Heaven 17 that I've never seen before. Love Heaven 17 sooo much!

ree

Q-Feel is strange. Dancing in Heaven (Orbital Be-Bop). Slow slow, quick quick slow! I love this song, but alas the rest of the album wasn't so good. I remember being so disappointed in it when I finally got a copy of it. I've never seen this 12"er though, which surprised me. A Mexican pressing? I wonder if it has a Spanish track? Probably not!

ree

I'm pretty sure I don't have this Erasure. YAY!

ree

I'm pretty sure I don't have this Erasure.

ree

And I'm pretty sure I don't have this Erasure! I remember seeing these in the past, but with amazingly high prices on them. (like around $8 each in 90s money, which is like $16ish in 2025 money.) Erasure is sorta like Depeche Mode or Pet Shop Boys where they'll sell for much higher than anything else because they have loads of fans wanting their stuff.

ree

YAY! Haysi Fantayzee! I've never seen this one before and I adore HF! Rub a dub man! LOL HF is an amazing band but alas another one and done group for reasons unknown. I think they were a little too weird for the USA. They'd be classified as British progressive New Wave, like Heaven 17, if that were a thing.

ree

Secession ~ the Magician, another one I ADORE! I remember wanting to find more Secession but it's amazingly hard to find. Both CD and LP go for over $80... They had a load of decent singles before finally releasing an album. The remixes, especially the illegal club ones tend to be amazing for this band.

ree

$2 ~ I've never ever seen this. Katrina and the Waves - Waves. Strange! Seems to be their 5th out of 10 or 11 LPs?! YIKES! I've only seen the album right before this one. I gotta give a try to their other stuff.

ree

Another Book of Love I've never seen before. Ugly cover. LOL I really need to check all their 12"ers out as I have so many of them that I must have most of them by now. I really cannot understand why they are not huge with the Synthpop fans. Seems they are considered "art-school influenced" which covers stuff like Laurie Anderson and Brian Eno. On the far fringes of progressive music, which is probably why I like them.

ree

I had (I think I sold it off) the picture LP of this and I'm glad to get it back in a normal album. Toyah is very hard to find. I keep getting her mixed up with Nina Hagen (who is easier to find) as they are almost the same.

Anyway, I think that's enough for this time around! A pretty good haul for a good price and lots of flipping potential. See ya Spring 2026!
